ABOUT US

SoCal Research Club is a Southern California-based research collective that monitors and shares information on local active clubs, various hate groups and online extremist spaces.

We identify and expose members of neo-nazi groups, as well as track and document the connections between these groups within larger networks.

OUR FOCUS

Our initial focus was primarily based on researching local racist and antisemitic hate groups and the hatemongers that joined them: specifically the California chapter of White Lives Matter (WLM) and the active clubs that began forming after the sudden, simultaneous and (very obviously) coordinated WLM “movement” began in the spring of 2021.

It didn’t take long for our research to lead to other extremist groups due to the many direct connections and shared members between them. This includes racist skinhead groups like Golden State Skinheads, the Hammerskins and their support group Crew 38, well-known white nationalist groups like Patriot Front and obscure neo-nazi cults like the Church of Aryanity, just to name a few.

Our research has also led to areas well outside of Southern California, namely the Pacific Northwest, the Redoubt and the Appalachian regions of the U.S., as well as into other countries.

It’s also led to some very fringe and incredibly vile online extremist spaces, the worst of which is Terrorgram.

On the upside, it’s also led us to connecting with some amazing researchers whose works aligns with ours.

OUR GOALS

We aim to document and expose active neo-nazi and white supremacist groups, their members and their connections within the broader and overlapping networks in which they exist.

Our goal is to bring awareness to those whose ideology is rooted in hatred, racism, antisemitism, queerphobia and misogyny and whose actions specifically target marginalized groups, and to do so in a way that is ethical and responsible.

Our area of research is focused specifically on the farthest of the far-right: neo-nazis and accelerationists. Unfortunately, we don’t have the capacity to closely monitor groups like the Proud Boys, LEXIT, or any of the other affiliated fascist street brawlers, event disruptors and school board astroturfers.

However, there are other researchers who do closely follow those groups, and we appreciate the work they put in to keep us all informed. Any tips and information would be best served by contacting them directly:
